Welcome

You’ve found my little corner of the internet.

Thanks for being here. xx

I’ve spent the last twenty five years writing songs, raising sons, recording and releasing five studio albums,

catching Chuck Berry mid-fall in front of 2,000 people, and learning slowly, clumsily how to value myself. That last one’s new.

It came up in therapy, unexpectedly, like a punchline with no joke.

Turns out I’d been carrying around a quiet belief that I wasn’t worth much. Not in the eyes of the world. Not in my own.

And still, somehow, I kept going. I kept writing. Recording. Finding /searching for the calm.

I came up through what I like to call the Billy Connolly School of Business.

Two core principles:

came up through what I like to call the Billy Connolly School of Business. Two core principle

1 - Lean into the weirdness (a career that involves standing on stage, bleeding your soul through a microphone)

2 - Trust that the good stuff will work itself out.

So that’s what I did. For thirty years I’ve focused on craft, learning how to write, how to sing, how to produce, how to tell the truth in a way that lands. I trusted the money would come. It didn’t.

Not in the way people meant when they said “make it.”

But honestly? I’m okay with that.

My jolly trundle through this passage of time has been rich, messy, full, beautiful, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Well… maybe a couple of things :)

In 2025, I was diagnosed with ADHD (combined type, which comes with a lovely little spoonful of anxiety and a pinch of depression), which unlocked another layer of understanding.

Anxiety. Depression. Intensity. Empathy. Creativity. All tangled together like a box of last year's fairy lights.

It helped explain why I work the way I do, why I care so much, why I feel so much and also why I love so much.

These days, I find I write less introspectively and more from empathy. Less me, more we.

"This boy is pretty damn good" - Chuck Berry

Anyhoo...Ive just signed a record deal with a label that sees the long game

and is run by people whose hearts beat the same way mine does.

They’re my people. I'm currently working on two new albums

which I’ll be handing over to them before I begin a three-year degree in Filmmaking and Media Studies.

Yep, I’m a mature student, diving into social media and digital storytelling,

learning how best to promote an independent music career.

The course starts this September in Bristol.

I’ll have access to top-quality film equipment, studios, and expert mentoring.

A lot of the coursework will double as content

I can use to promote the new songs being released

over the next three years.

Album 6 – Interlude -

A quiet, acoustic reply to years of requests for solo versions of older songs.

Album 7 – Butterfly I-

A bolder thing. It’s shedding skin, turning inward

and outward again drying wings in the sun.

its my first self produced album and so far the deep dive is a beautiful thing.

If you’re still reading this, thank you.

If you’ve been following along for a wee while or many years, thank you even more.

And if this is your first time here… well, you’ve arrived at a turning point.

We’re building something.
It’s taken me a while to believe I’m worth backing.
But I’m here now, backing myself.
And just getting started.
